Sick of the usual sexy movies with wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am sex and not much of a plot (We’re looking at you, “365 Days”)?

Films don’t need to have graphic sex scenes to be sexy. In fact, there are a few good ones on Netflix right now that don’t have any outright sex in them but will leave you writhing on the couch for more.

Of course, there’s nothing wrong with straight-up explicit scenes either. If they fit right into the plot, we’re willing to have more of them.

If you have no idea what to watch on Netflix tonight, here are our recommendations.

Note: If you’d rather read kink than watch it, here are our top sexy novel recommendations.

“Young and Beautiful”

‘Young and Beautiful” is a French film that centers around Isabelle, a teenage girl who goes into prostitution to make money and relieve herself from boredom. After one of her clients dies from a heart attack, Isabelle struggles with feelings of guilt as she comes to terms with the death of her client. Along the way, there’s a sexual awakening in the process and a sense of sensuality that will leave you stunned.

“Frida”

Salma Hayek’s portrayal of the larger-than-life surrealist painter will wow you to bits in this gorgeous biopic. “Frida” details Frida Kahlo’s tortuous relationship with Diego Rivera and the steamy love affairs both have had with various men and women, including a lover they shared!

“Fatal Attraction”

Although “Fatal Attraction” is best known for its lurid bunny-boiling scene, and it’s a violent film, it’s also extremely sensual with sex scenes so hot they make you melt. I mean, who could forget the iconic elevator scene? In fact, you’d probably get your fill of sex scenes from the whole first third of the film alone. Just a word of warning, though, if you’re not ready for the graphic brutality that happens after, skip to the next film.

“I Am Love”

Set in the heart of Milan, this visually stunning film is about the story of a Russian girl married to an Italian family. Emma, played by the otherworldly Tilda Swinton, finds herself in an affair with Antonio, which threatens her relationship with her son who finds out about the affair. If you can’t get past thinking of Tilda Swinton in a sexual way, then prepare to have this movie change your mind.

“Don Jon”

“Don Jon” is a smart, funny comedy about porn addiction. Naturally, you get a lot of bodies getting naked, but you also get Scarlett Johansson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt together in one helluva sexy film. If you’d like to take a break from the serious, arty films everyone at Rotten Tomatoes is raving about, go for this one. It’s also got a good 81% on RT.

“Submarine”

Speaking of comedy, if you like British comedy with a little bit of nudity thrown in, we recommend “Submarine”. This coming-of-age story about a boy who begins to explore his sexuality while trying to save his parents’ failing marriage is a quirky comedy and a heart-warming drama at the same time.

“Blue is the Warmest Colour”

One of the most loved films about lesbianism, this movie has been at the top of sexy lists for a while. Warning for those who can’t sit still for more than an hour: Get yourself a huge bowl of popcorn because this one takes just a little bit more than three hours. That’s right. You get three solid hours of a beautiful story of love, heartbreak, and a bunch of explosive sex scenes.

“Gloria”

“Gloria” is one of the few sexy films on Netflix with not much sex on it. Okay, there’s talk of mating and dating and there’s the implication of sex, but the title character played by Chilean actress Paulina Garcia keeps her clothes on all throughout the film. “Gloria” is an uplifting film about a 58-year-old divorcee who goes through her second coming of age.
